What is the ELA online course?

ELA is the perfect preparation for any TEFL course. It was developed by leading TEFL author and top teacher trainer John Hughes, to help overcome one of the biggest problems faced by students on CELTA & CertTESOL courses – English Grammar.

If you don’t know your prepositions from your pronouns or your past perfect from your present simple, this course will help you brush up on your English grammar skills and make sure you are a step ahead before you embark on your CELTA or CertTESOL course.

The course is based entirely online in a user-friendly environment, with a tutor to answer your questions and the chance to network with other trainee teachers. It will give you valuable confidence and motivation ahead of your TEFL course and future teaching career.

Differences between CELTA & CertTESOL
 

The application process & how to claim your free ELA course

  1. Apply for a CELTA or TESOL course through Cactus TEFL between 1st and 31st May.
  2. Wait until you are accepted onto your chosen course.
  3. Once you are accepted, you need to pay for your course in full. Payment will be made either to Cactus OR directly to the school, dependent on your school/course. This will be clarified at the time of paying.
  4. If you pay the school directly, simply email us with proof of payment to claim your free ELA course. If you made your payment to Cactus, you don't need to do anything.
  5. Cactus will send you login details to access and download the ELA course. You will have 45 days to complete it.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Participation is open to applicants aged 18+ excluding employees and their families of Cactus Worldwide Ltd & Cactus Worldwide Inc, their agents and any other person professionally connected with the Promotion.
  2. To enter the Promotion you must apply for, and be accepted onto, any CELTA or TESOL course through Cactus between 1st and 31st May 2011.
  3. All personal data collected for the purposes of the Promotion will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Cactus' Privacy Policy.
  4. By applying for a CELTA or TESOL course and entering the Promotion, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. Students taking up the Promotion will receive a free English Language Awareness (ELA) online course worth £75.
  6. The ELA course is valid for 45 days from the date the student receives login details from Cactus to access and download the course. Students will receive these login details only once they have been accepted onto their chosen CELTA or TESOL course AND made full payment either to Cactus or directly to the school. In the case of making payment directly to the school, students should provide proof of payment to Cactus.
  7. The ELA course is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable. Usual booking terms and conditions apply.
  8. The course has no commercial value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  9. Cactus reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms of this Promotion without prior notice.
